The Pontifical College Josephinum is proud to state that its A.T. Wehrle Library is one of its strongest assets. The library contains more than 145,000 items: 120,000 volumes of books; more than 400 periodical titles; 35 national Catholic publications and diocesan newspapers; full text databases required for research in philosophy, theological disciplines, and the humanities; a core collection of e-books; over 2,000 audio-visual items; archival material; and rare books and manuscripts.
The library’s extensive collections support studies in philosophy, scripture, patristics, moral theology, dogma, liturgy, Church history, and Catholic life and teachings.
Moreover, the library is a member of OhioLINK, the statewide consortium of 121 college and university libraries and the State Library of Ohio. Through this membership the seminary community has access to over 48 million items, a collection of 70,000 e-books, 150 research databases, and a media collection of instructional and educational videos.
